The Draw screen has two modes the top left button toggles them:
1. Draw - Draw objects on the screen.
2. Edit - Select and Edit ( move/transform/copy ... ) objects.

Pressing the Android MENU button toggles the interface so you can draw/edit fullscreen. Useful on phones.

The screen has buckets of drawing options, so you might want to refer back as you go along.

Strokes & groups
Strokes: Have a pen and fill settings they can single lines or collections - they all hsare the same pen and fill
Groups : are colloections of strokes. They are locked together and colours can't be changed until ungrouped.

Bugs
BUG: screen to appears to jump after rotation or the keyboard showing
= workaround is to do a zoom (by pinch or the zoom menu)
BUG: Pressing context menu deselects
= workaround is to use the Strokes viewer (Long press) to access menu.
These should be fixed very soon..

Left menu
The left menu is always visible and has zoom, save, undo & help buttons

Undo last operation. Long press for redo. there are currently only 10 undos, (which will go up in the future)

Draw free lines and strokes

Draw lines (press and drag to set a new point) use the confirm button when finished

Draw circles

Draw rectangles (use Pen rounding to make rounded corners)

Insert shapes, long press for the shape generator

Insert text, long press for the (current) Font selector. Edit text with the context menu
Style
This displays the current pen settings, pressing the indicator has shortcuts to the pen and fill settings.

Selection

You can select item by clicking on them in the draw area. Pressing outside the current selection deselects.

In Single select mode only the last pressed item is selected, otherwise items stay selected until deselected.

You can move/scale/rotate the selection using two finger multitouch.

The selection is highlighted by a bounding box and dashed lines over the selected items. The bounding box has button for transform operations (for non multitouch devices) and a contxt menu(topright)

Bugs Selection on gingerbread not fun, need to use Strokes viewer to select.

Bottom Bar
The bottom bar gives acces to the pen and fill settings, stroke selection, clipart, and the clipboard (cut and paste).
In draw mode it sets the current stroke & fill.
In edit mode it sets the selected stroke & fill. Make sure something is selected and you should see it change.

Here you can see all your objects (strokes or groups) you can press a button to select the stroke(s), long press shows the stroke or group menu (see Object select)

The clipart browser (the top level is folders) click a buutton to insert the clipart

The clipboard, press an item to insert it

Pen
Pen has 2 components Stroke and Glow. Turning the size to zero turns a component off. The Colour button goes to the colour selector. The slider is log scaled.
The rounding smooths the corners in the stroke. E.g. rounded rectangles, stars,...

Gradient editor: long press on the slider to make new stops, click a slider button and edit it colour. Long click on a button to delete.

There are 3 types of gradient: Linear, Radial, and Sweep


Fill Bitmap
Works in edit mode only, click the "select a bitmap button" to go to the Picture editor
Colour
The confirm button on the right hand side add an undo. You can edit different object while selecting them in colour mode but undos arent save till the colour is confirmed.
There are two screens:

Colour Grid
The Grid   shows the swatch, template colours and used colours as buttons.

Colour Picker
The Picker   is a HSV colour selector. You can also set the alpha here.


Strokes viewer
The strokes viewer allows you to select stroke (works in edit mode only).

Press an item to select it, it should show on screen. Long press for the element context menu.

ClipArt browser
Insert all types of clipart, the first time clipart is used its preview is generated.

If the clipart is just one colour it pastes as a stroke so the colour can be changed, otherwise it pastes as a group.

Clipboard
works similar to strokes, but when you click a copy of the item is inserted. Cut or Copy to add to the clipboard.
